How to get to the Velodrome

Located down the hill, behind the
Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre
1767 Island Highway

The velodrome is situated  a hundred meters southwest of The Q Center  hockey arena.

From the Coho Ferry from Seattle

From the Coho (Blackball Transport), turn Left out of the gates. Proceed past the BC Government Legislature Building. Keep going and the road will swing to the left. You are now on Douglas Street, which will turn into a divided highway, the TC#1.  Now follow the instructions from downtown Victoria, below.

From Schwartz Bay Ferry Terminal

From the Vancouver Ferry, take the Highway 17 south  towards Victoria. When you come to Saanich Road, turn Right.

Proceed to Douglas Street, about 4 blocks. Turn right. You are now on Douglas Street. You will pass the following crossroads: Tillicum, Mckenzie, Helmken. Drive about 8 km, (5 miles), look for the Colwood Exit. If you see the Langford Exit, You have gone too far! Take the Colwood Exit. Keep to the left. Do not turn left after you pass under the railway tracks. Proceed past the Tim Horton Donuts on the left. You will see the Juan de Fuca Rec Center on your left, across from Saunders Subaru. The velodrome is at the back of the main building, down the hill. Drive down the hill, the parking lot will be to your right.

From Downtown Victoria

Go north on Douglas Street. You will pass the following crossroads: Saanich, Tillicum, Mckenzie, Helmken. Drive about 8 km, (5 miles). Look for the Colwood Exit. If you see the Langford Exit, You have gone too far! Take the Colwood Exit. Keep to the left. Do not turn left after you pass under the railway tracks. Proceed past the Tim Horton’s  on the left. You will see the Juan de Fuca Recreaction Center on your left, across from Saunders Subaru.

The Westshore Velodrome is at the back of the main building, down the hill. Drive down the hill, the parking lot will be to your right.
