The West Shore Velodrome was the site of track cycling events at the 1994 Commonwealth Games. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Games the Greater Victoria Velodrome Association (GVVA) is launching a “Commonwealth Games 20th Anniversary Track Cycling Legacy” project. The project is intended to enable the GVVA to purchase equipment and supplies as well as to develop and retain the coaching required to facilitate the development of the sport of track cycling, and in particular youth track cycling, at the West Shore Velodrome.
