Results for League Racing Nite sponsored by Broad St. Cycles – July 3

July 3, 2014 – Westshore Velodrome.

A special thanks to Broad Street Cycles (Shawn, Parker, Halldor, Renny, Colin) for hosting a special evening of racing. Prizes were awarded courtesy Broad St. Cycles. The ‘endurance’ night saw some special appearances by our local sprinters, which was great to see. It was a fun night and the competition was awesome.

The racing started with an opening warm up 20 lap scratch race with all categories combined. We didn’t record the results for that race, but I know it was hotly contested. The evening continued with a 24 and 30 lap points race for B category and A category riders respectively. Elimination races followed and the night ended with a final fun ‘Colwood Crawl’ race, which was won by Andrew Grant who sort of, kind of, maybe snuck across the start line at bell a little ahead of the required 1 minute of elapsed time. Nevertheless, the en masse sprint was a site to see.
