GVVA hosts track camp for u17-u19, CSI talent development group August 16-22
GVVA president Brian Belcher invited all u17, u19 GVVA members to join the CSI Pacific talent development group, at a track camp aimed at developing team pursuit and team sprint teams and skills leading up to TrackFest 2. Personal and club coaches are also welcome.
“We are pleased to offer programs like this to graduates of our FastTrack program. And especially appreciate the collaboration of the coaches.”said Brian Belcher.
A longer term goal is preparing riders for the provincial championships September 12-14 in Burnaby.
The camp will be coached by Jeff Ain, assisted by Lister Farrar (august 18-22), as well as personal and club coaches attending.
“The emphasis will be on technical skills, and not too heavy a training load, so riders can race well at TrackFest.” emphasized head coach Jeff Ain.

- Saturday August 16, 10am-12pm
- Sunday August 17, 11am-1pm
- Monday August 18 10am-12pm
- Tuesday August 19 12pm-2pm
- Wednesday August 20 10am-12pm
- Thursday August 21 10am-12pm
- Friday August 22 10am-12pm.
There is no charge for the camp, but interested riders should indicate their interest and dates they can attend in an email to Jeff Ain jeffain@gmail.com.
Riders should bring aero bars, a range of gears, and tools for changing them.
